DONATIONS

Organizing & giving back to the community
It has been a true pleasure to receive invitations to enter peoples’ home sanctuaries. In each instance, I’ve had great opportunities to understand the circumstances and lives of others.
Throughout my work in helping my clients regain clear spaces, I have accumulated a large amount of perfectly usable things. Sometimes, people buy too much of something to suit their purposes, but in the end, they realize they don’t need that much and the extra becomes instant clutter.
As a result, I’ve had to process large quantities of physical objects, whether it was bed sheets or baby clothes or office supplies or something else in abundance. To address the excess items, I came up with the idea to donate everything to nonprofits and charitable organizations that serve underprivileged communities.
My research led me to many worthy organizations who would benefit greatly from donations of bulk items. I found fantastic homeless shelters, services for moms-to-be including the MaRiH Center in Alexandria, Catholic organizations, food pantries, children’s organizations including Toys for Tots, and office supply stores to collect and accept the extra items from clients.
As a devout Christian, I have always put into practice my religious beliefs to help others in need. As an organizer, I have taken that spirit of giving back to the community to new heights by pinpointing local nonprofits and groups to receive excess items from my client organizing projects.
